Knitting isn't as easy as it looks...
Knitting is very hard. Since I don't know anyone who knows how to knit, I got one of those Klutz books that comes with a bunch of stuff to "get you started", as they say. And it does. Two knitting needles, one crochet (pronounced crow-shay) hook, a large, plastic purple yarn needle, and two large, beautiful buttons. The instructions are written to be understood easily by kids- I figured it wouldn't be to hard to understand, right? WRONG! Two days, one book, several web searches and two web sites later, I still don't get why one basic step of the knitting stitch confuses me. Help me if you can. Hear my plea. This is the site that I looked at first: http://www.theyarnco.com/instruction.php Steps numbers 3-5 confuse me. The only confusing thing about #3 is it says to wrap the yarn under and counterclockwise around the needle-I tried it, but it doesn't work. I don't get it... (sob)
